Bhagavad-gita 1.2 — Summary of Points by the Acharyas, Part 1: Sankara-Kesava Kasmiri

This video (by https://bhagavadgitareader.wordpress.com and http://sanskritstudio.wordpress.com) discusses, in two parts, how ten different acharyas have commented on Bhagavad-gita verse 1.2 (Chapter 1, Verse 2).

In this Part 1 video, the major points of the following acharyas are discussed:

Śaṅkara (Sankara, Shankara, Sankaracharya): c. 788–820 AD
Abhinavagupta: c. 950–1015 AD
Rāmānuja (Ramanuja): c. 1017–1137 AD
Madhva: c. 1200–1275 AD
Śrīdhara (Sridhara, Shridhara): c. 1400–? AD
Keśava Kāśmīrī (Kesava Kasmiri, Keshava Kashmiri): c. late 15th–16th century AD

The presentation of the comments by the acharyas is done in chronological order, in order to give some idea about the historical flow of ideas and how they were received.
